YES YES YES, THE INTERNETS IS SAVED!!

That’s right, ITRE in the European Parliament actually thought that addition 138 is necessary if this whole Telecom Reform Package will be allowed to exist. So our internet is saved and I thank you all for this splendid decision.

But it’s not over yet. There still is a risk for it being thrown out, so keep on pestering your politicans, cause the next vote in Plenum May 5th is crucial.

But still what has happened since Judgment Day? What could possible be the next step in this sad affair? Well our Anti Pirate Bureau, APB for short, thinks that this is a huge victory for them and have been starting to hunt down our last torrent sites, falsifying evidence and stealing information, as usual. You see, apparently the oh-so-not-lovely Henrik Pontén think that whatever the means is, it’s justified and apparently noone in our government wants to stop what may be our biggest “law-abiding” criminal organisation ever. Anyway, so thanks to the judging of TPB, The Pirate Bay, we have lost more sites today, sites who actually closed it down themselves and who can blame them. Not worth going to jail when you aren’t even earning money on something that already is costly enough to maintain.

The next goal for these, so called pirate hunters, is to burn our student litterature on the internet now.  Apparently that is even worse then searching for pedofiles or other threats. It’s like the Pirate Hunting has become a religion, and they are burning everything that has ever come in contact with “illegal” file-sharing or the material itself. Heck why don’t just call them “The Nazis of the Internet”. It even fits the name.

There is one positiv thing though and that is that the swedish Pirate Party has gained tons of members during the last few days, people who no longer wants to be persecuted by our government and want their freedom back. Who feels that just because you believe in something else then what the big hats high up, who probably can’t even tie their own shoe laces, says is “reality” and to “protect” us. It’s becoming more and more clearer for every day that goes by that the sweden we once loved doesn’t exist, a sweden where human rights, freedom and freedom of speech was law. We where at the forefront of technology and social systems thanks to those three and people actually, atleast tried, to care about eachother. Now we are being pulled back to the stone ages, which mean that a small country like ours won’t be able to compete with the big countries anymore and if that wasn’t enough, now they are trying to dirty the pirate partys name.

By claiming that anyone can register and become a member without paying anything that they have cheated their way to the big numbers. They probably think that people in the pirate party registers several times or more, just to make it seem like they have alot of members. Nevermind the fact that no matter how big, it’s still how many votes a party gets that says how big it really is. Anyway they have responded with saying that they check their members in due time and in one way or another. So don’t worry you big wigs, the numbers they claim is probably the real numbers of members in pirate party. Something that should tell you how much you have fucked up this time.

Like we weren’t busy enough to fix our own messed up country but now it seems that the European Union, who really should understand human rights, is trying to pass a “package” where the EU countries shall unite their telecommunicationmarket, something that sounds good, except that in that package it also makes it possible for ISP’s to regulate and close down, freely, which sites and kind of sites, or even parts of the internet. Without ANY court order or reason. Which means internet runs a risk of becoming like a cable tv package. Which means that to have access to youtube for instance you have to pay extra just for youtube, or have different packages with different parts of the internet. That is what all the critics say and I can actually see that happen. But there is hope, either they vote the whole Telecom Reform Package down, or adding the addendum 138, which basically will protect our internet freedom and making sure that the ISP’s won’t be able to close it down like that.  Today is the day for the European Parliament to vote for adding that 138 to the reform.

I actually mailed all our swedish ITRE members hearing what they are going to vote and trying to convince those that don’t understand why 138 is necessary or those that don’t like that addition. I have gotten positive mails from a couple of them that were going to vote for it, which has gotten my hopes up, maybe in vain. But even better is that it still means that there are politicians who still believe in the same thing as the rest of us. So please keep on pressing them, this is important for all of us. Freedom and Human Rights.

Magibon is a ‘cutesy’ girl who has posted lots of videos on youtube where she opens up with a cute little voice saying something extremely simple in japanese and practically just stares at you for the rest of the video, doing ‘cutesy’ faces and ends with doing the usual V sign every asian does infront of the camera. Extremely simple thing, and she actually look alittle creepy at times but she has a fan following. With people telling her how cute she is in the comments section of her videos and even gotten a photoshoot in Playboy Japan and being on TV shows over there. Don’t believe me check it out by just google on ‘Magibon’. Check out this clip

And that’s practically all she does, ever. Now where else but our beloved internet could this cute little girl without showing of too much skin or showing what kind of talents she have but only stare into the camera gain so much fame? Not on the street that’s for sure, how creepy wouldn’t that be? I mean it’s already creepy but think about it, a girl walking up to you only to stare at you like that and all of a sudden just walk away. Or sitting on the sidewalk staring out into nothingness. It doesn’t really lead anywhere. But give that same girl a camera and make her do almost nothing but stare into it and post it on youtube, thank god for youtube, and blaam, instant fame.

Things like that is what makes internet so great and I want to keep it great. So stop the censoring and make this a place for the people again, not something to control the people with.

Oh yeah, one last thing, thank you to the people who doesn’t fall for that ‘cutesy’ act and see it for what it is, EVIL. Or atleast creepy as hell. Oh and thank you for showing me this weird but nice part of everyones favorite highway.

Internet Censorship nowadays is actually, unfortunately, quite common practice. North America, Europe and big parts of Asia already has some censorship and although I do understand why the have this censorship and what they are trying to do, sometimes, especially when it comes to child pornography. But the thing is child pornography isn’t really that easy to stop just with some censorship and it’s not really working. At best makes it more difficult for the normal user to find, but if you have that sexual preference you will continue to look and probably find it sooner or later. Just because it’s hard to find doesn’t actually mean that people who wants it won’t find it.

Then there are the little more fun sites, the “hacking” sites or sites where they speak their truth. Like a forum here in Sweden called “Flashback”, it’s not censored but it is a illegal forum. In court it has been deemed illegal until they actually start to approve or check the posts and delete all the posts that are deemed improper before publishing. They refused and moved their servers to another country because they, as do I, believe in freedom of speech. The right to speak your mind, and the right to talk about whatever you want should be everyones right. What if discussion forums like these where you can speak your mind and discuss whatever you are thinking but might be afraid to talk about otherwise because, let’s face it, society is judging you on whatever you say or do. That might be so on forums too, but, atleast you get a chance to be more anonymous and discuss it without compromising your privacy.

The reason above is exactly why it’s dangerous to start censoring the internet. Because, if you let the government, or whatever ‘dude’ is behind the censorship, censor anything, no matter what, on the internet then freedom of speech is compromised and threatened. One of the most fundamental laws in a democracy and what countries like the US stands for, at least did, is compromised and threatened because a few men doesn’t like what they see or read online. And don’t forget that if you let them take one slice of cake away, they will want and will try to take the whole cake.

We call it an information highway, and that’s just what it is. A highway that goes on for miles. You might see someone have sex in the backseat. An accident might happen and you see people hurt or worse. Violence and speeding is something that might happen too. It’s a conjunction of hundreds to thousands to millions of people all in the same place, all driving or going somewhere on the highway, everyone going to their destination. You can’t just close that highway because it has some violence, some sex, some speeding or even because someone is standing not too far on a hill screaming his political view or maybe his sexual view. That is what internet censorship is doing, it’s closing or trying to close that highway. A highway that leads us to find ourselves and find likeminded people.

Frankly, this is just a personal blog in where the name doesn’t speak for what I might talk about, its more like a statement to the government in which I used to believe actually understood what human rights actually is all about. That is until this shit of a government actually started taking away the freedom and rights of the people here.

Starting with the “anti-terrorist” law called FRA which makes the government able to freely spy on any and every information going outside this country. And for those not well versed in how all communication moves, is that almost every information moves out of the country and gets rerouted back here, which practically all communication is monitored. And if that is not bad enough, now they are talking about letting our Security Police have free access to all that information.

You’d think the shit government finds that to be good enough? NO! They have to let all the media humps that’s trying to sell us their new shit, yes SHIT. How many times has LOLLYWOOD actually satisfied our craving for good movies. HUH?! Cant hear you! Yeah that often, right? Why not support or use some service that makes it easier to see both the sucky and the good movies. No no, instead of finding a good ONLINE service, lets chase every “pirate” that wants to see if a movie sucks or actually rock before spending money or BUYING it. Yeah that’s right, they have totally missed that whole thing, FILE-SHARING actually make people BUY MORE MOVIES/RECORDS.

/rant Uhmm, well sorry about that, has pretty strong feelings about this, so I hope you forgive my language, and my little rant. Still sometimes things like this might popup, and I might be a little inclined to rant, hopefully not too much. And if I do, excuse my language. You see strong language makes it easier for you to understand my pain and strong feelings about things like that. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go and take a cold shower.

PS: Yeah yeah, I know that our country went to the shits before this, but I believed that there was a line that you/we would not cross. Well now we have crossed it.
